Another country has moved up the international security agenda following the arrest of Detroit-bound suspected suicide bomber, Abdulmutallab, and revelations that he may have been trained in Yemen. New EU "Foreign Minister" Baroness Ashton had her baptism in the debate on Yemen and Iran in the European parliament yesterday.

International Leaders Summit 8-9 december

The sixth annual International Leaders Summit will be held in the European Parliament the 8. - 9. December. The summit is a unique gathering on public policy issues that brings business, media communications, think tank and political leaders from both sides of the Atlantic to discuss principled solutions that increase economic growth and prosperity. This year, some of the prominent conservative MEPs including the ECR Chairman Michal Kaminski will join the Summit as well as renowned journalists and economists: Dr. Daniel Mitchell (The Cato Institute), Edward Luca (The Economist), Marc Champion (The Wall Street Journal) or Dr. Kim Holmes (The Heritage Foundation).

Mass protest outside Zimbabwe Embassy on 7th Anniversary of London Vigil for Freedom

Hundreds of Zimbabweans gathered outside the Zimbabwean Embassy in London on Saturday (10 October) to protest at the continued denial of basic freedoms by the Mugabe regime. Previously, there had been a ‘shopping expedition’ to Harrods by protestors masquerading as Robert and Grace Mugabe.
