Strasbourg 20 October 2010. Chairman of the European Parliament's Internal Market Committee and Conservative MEP Malcolm Harbour today welcomed tougher EU Rules on the late payment of bills, which is a real problem for small companies.

Strasbourg 19 October 2010 . The European Commission today said that the offspring from cloned animals can enter the food chain and temporarily banned Cloned meat and milk for five years.

Brussels, 14th October 2010 -- The EU must keep up the pressure on Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe by rejecting his 'man in Brussels.' That is the message from MEPs to European Commission President José Manuel Barroso and European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, as they consider whether or not to accept Mugabe's Ambassador-designate to the EU, Mrs Margaret Muchada. Geoffrey Van Orden MEP, who spearheads the European Parliament's campaign for freedom and democratic change in Zimbabwe, has urged both men to heed Zimbabwean PM Morgan Tsvangirai's plea and refuse to accept Mrs Muchada's credentials on the grounds that her appointment is 'unconstitutional.'

Brussels 7 October 2010. Conservative MEP Ashley Fox this morning launched his bid to save taxpayers 15 Million Euro and save the environment from 1600 tonnes of needless carbon dioxide. Mr Fox wants to combine the two Strasbourg plenary sessions scheduled for September 2012 into one.

Brussels 7 October 2010. Conservative International Trade Spokesman in Europe Robert Sturdy MEP and Chairman of the friends of Pakistan group Sajjad Karim today welcomed a European Commission announcement that it is seeking to temporarily suspend import duties on Pakistani goods entering the EU.
