Strasbourg 22 October 2009. The European Commission today published a report updating how it plans to meet its commitment of reducing red tape by 25% by 2012.

After a debate on climate change in the European Parliament where UKIP and the BNP joined together to brand the subject 'an elite scam' (Nick Griffin), and that 'the whole thing is a sham...a bogus hypothesis' (Godfrey Bloom), Conservative MEP for the North West and Deputy-Whip in the European Parliament Sajjad Karim said that they had shown their true colours.
